Why Make Uncle Robbie’s Cheeseball?

Delicious and Unique!

Uncle Robbie, otherwise known as my brother, is a pretty good cook and finds unique and delicious recipes and adjusts them to make them his own.  AND he knows how to make cooking fun!

Cheeseballs are fun to make!

Who doesn’t love to play with cheese and other fun stuff to make it a ball?  There are loads of creative ways to serve a cheeseball, but it’s best if the cheeseball is yummy, as well.

Toppings!

There is no end to what you can add for a topping on a cheeseball!  For some reason, cheeseballs are just pretty to look at once covered in toppings of your choice.  Pretty food attracts guests like flies on honey!

My Festive Holiday Charcuterie

Once you’ve got your toppings, you can really get creative with the presentation for serving!  I had a great time with this board to make it look festive for the Holidays!

Roughly 10 – 12 servings

plastic wrapped cheeseball for forming the ball shape

8 ounces of Cream Cheese
1 cup of Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon of stone ground mustard
1 teaspoon of hot sauce
1 Tablespoon of Miracle Whip
1 Tablespoon of finely chopped onion
2 Tablespoons of finely chopped green pimento-stuffed olives
1 Tablespoon of Parmesan Cheese
1 Tablespoon of Lemon Juice
Black Pepper to taste

Toppings:

Chopped nuts and sunflower seeds
Chopped dried beef
Cranberries and pecans
Everything Bagel seasoning (this one gets overwhelming, so don’t get wild when adding)
Bacon and scallions here.

Combine the ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Place in plastic wrap and form a ball.

Refrigerate for at least one hour.

Remove from the refrigerator roughly 20 minutes before serving so the cheese has time to soften.

Place cheeseball on a serving tray and cover with your choice of toppings.

Serve with crackers or raw vegetables — really you can serve it with whatever you like!  I had crackers, toast points, celery, along with green olives, different cheeses and meats (including crispy bacon for the “tree trunk”) and I made up some pickle rolls.
